Mighty Flynn now lives in Mighty Greensboros

Mighty Flynn, a mighty good dog, has moved in. He came all the way from Virginia so he could live in Mighty Greensboros. He is a 4 pound toy fox terrier, he has a white body with a little black tail, a black head and two brown stripes above his eyelashes.

He is so cute and I love him already. I have to take some photos of our mighty dog and post them up here so you all can see him.

I knew it was meant to be when I saw what his name was.

eye rolls of the day: Campbell-Reese & Lab Report Inventors

I would like to put a big eye roll out to Campbell and Reece who wrote my biology book and to the Lab Report Inventors:

I have spent too much time this past two weeks trying figure out the Calvin Cycle and electromagnetic spectrum of chlorophyll pigments this past two weeks because my books that I payed a fortune for messed with me with inaccurate information. I am going to send the corrections to the publisher but the last thing I need to have to do is to proofread the text in CAMPBELL and REECE 's books as I try and learn it. Plus the lab report I am doing is wasting lots of my time and I have learned nothing new. I am just being reminded of what a pain in the ass they can be. When is someone going to change it so students time isn't wasted but instead maximized. I think we(especially us out-of-staters) are paying enough tuition to expect a certain level of consideration. oh...And you better believe I am going to publish my lababy somewhere on the net so others may "observe" under my new website www.stopthetorture.com

Dr Eisner never finds cavities.

Greensboros stop paying $256 to get your teeth cleaned!
Geez!, since I have moved to mighty Santos Greensboro I have had to make a lot of changes but this one I am having trouble with. I need to get my teeth cleaned and with things being so busy right now I don't have time to travel up to Rockville, MD to see the Worlds Greatest Dentist, Dr Eisner. SO, I got the name of my father's dentist, Dr Osbourne (no relation to my hero Ozzy) and called him to make an appointment. Unfortunately, the receptionist informed me it would be $256 dollars to get my teeth cleaned, more for grays etc. That is totally insane. They probably don't even have the real dentist do the cleaning and maybe Dr Osbourne isn't good looking? (I like my dentist to be attractive). Dr Eisner would never try and rob me like that! I could fly home and see Dr Eisner for that price (if everyone ends up being that crazy I will). Needless to say(but I will anyway) I am not going to be going to Dr Osbourne (I am sure he is a fine dentist but not willing to give away money like that). I mean the cost of living here is half as much as in Rockville MD... Anyway, it upsets me that there are people here are paying that much! Everybody going to him- STOP THE MADNESS! If I paid that much I would expect a lot of extras including laughing gas, golden toothbrushes on exit, diamond fillings etc... Also, if you dentist finds a lot of cavities then go for a second opinion as some dentists find more cavities then are actually there. Remember they are trying to make money but some are not as good at making money and make better dentists.
Also your dentist is your friend! no cash grease at the dentist office- better to hook them up with baseball/basketball/concert tickets.

Spin does the dirty work

In the March issue of Spin Magazine, U2 is listed as #1 on the list of rockers who should retire. Bono, I am sorry it had to come to this. We were hoping you would get the hint when you were inducted in the RocknRoll Hall of fame a couple of years ago.
side note on how I picture bono writing a song: "Hey guys, isn't this a great sentence? How about I repeat it over a hundred times while you all play some music?" some examples: "With or Without you", "In the name of love", "Desire" "Desire", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "It's a beautiful day!".
Anyway, there is a reason for everything and guess the I think the reason God made him that way was because he knew Bono was going to be tight on the campaign for greater AIDS awareness and we need a very successful, popular, VERY repetitive guy for that job.
Spin, you have Aerosmith all wrong. Steven Tyler is still fresh. I demand him to be removed from that list! And whoever put the Stones at #2 is in BIG trouble!

North Carolina- Fund of the Year

Santos Greensborosarians- Judge this!

ok so let's pretend for a moment we are a mighty Judge in mighty santos greensboros district court. So your sitting there thinking wow there are a lot of people who are get speeding tickets! Maybe if I can open up or work at a driving school I can give the offenders the option of taking a four hour (or 8 hour) driving course to take away points on their license.
We won't reduce the fine so the government gets their money, the cop keeps his/her ticket writing job, we create more jobs, and I get 50 dollars from everyone who takes the 4 hours course (and even more for the 8 hour course) and our roads are safer!!!(main reason for the course, of course). Yes, why that sounds like a fine idea.
I think I will do it.
Isn't it fun being a judge? You can create all kinds of opportunities for yourself.
I almost forget to mention I went to driving school today and that Lucas was my Judge....opps!,i mean driving school teacher. Brilliant.

mighty santos greensboros - the city that ?

Positives of mighty greensboros:

The McDonald's here takes credit/debit cards. No traffic. Beer/wine in the grocery stores (even know I don't drink- still nice to have it handy just in case someone pushes me over the edge). Carolina shag. Caitlin Spenser, my tap instructor at UNCG is the best. Weather is pretty nice and way better than DC/Maryland. The landscaping company = no raking: for instance, when a leaf falls in the yard within minutes a crew of men come by and remove it. Cutting edge trash technology: the trash people have a robotic arm that reaches out from their truck and takes you trashcan by the side and dumps it in their truck. Drive thru pharmacy. Pedicures include a long foot massage.

Life lesson of the Week: Advil are not chewable

take my word: advil are not chewable in the liquid gel or tablet form. I have had both mixed up with my jelly beans recently and it was not a good situation.
The "liquid gel" accident happened in the car and I almost wrecked. I had to pull over and spit them out(lost some good jelly beans too- one was rootbeer). Then i had to rush to the nearest gas station for a drink. The taste was not gone for hours.
Luckily the "tablet" accident happened at home and I was able to get to a sink and immediately rinse my mouth and brush the tablets from my teeth.
This weeks life lesson: Never carry loose jelly beans and loose advil in the same pocket- advil are not chewable.

Mighty santos greensboros traffic court-

I supposedly was going over the speed limit by 15 miles per hour and went to court today to see how I could better my 2 points and fine.
Here is the deal with speeding tickets in mighty santos greensboros:
You can opt to go to driving school for 46 dollars and pay your full fine but have 0 points on your license. That is what I opted for as the Judge didn't seem like he was feeling particularly sorry for anyone.
I studied the situation in the court room/administrators carefully and I think the best chance for greasing is with the girls who signs you up for traffic school. I think if I had a fifty on me that would have been suffient to get her to put a successful completion certificate in my file.
Anyway, thought that may be of interest to some of my bloggin friends in mighty santos greensboros. I would have tried it for you all but I only had a $20 on me and it looked like a $50 deal.
So far my weekend is not shaping up to well with a MRI Friday night at 10:45 and driving school at 8:30 am. I wonder if the police accept...nevermind.

bob marley should stay in Jamaica

Rita Marley is out of control! No way should Bob Marleys remains be moved out of Jamaica to Ethiopia. I have a friend who grew up as neighbors to Bob and his family and he told me not to worry, Bob's mom won't let it happen!! but I am worried again because more press has come out about an hour ago. And Rita M. is giving Haile Selassie a bad name on top of it.
The last thing that country needs is to lose Bob's remains. All of Jamaica would cry without him there! a sad vibe would resonate in the air. Many Jamaicans are very poor but Bob Marley gives them self-esteem and self-worth- which is beautiful. It's just not good to take the person they take most pride in away! I will cry and cry if that happens to Jamaica.

Greasing 101- Number 2

Grease etiquette is essential when dealing with much of the service industry. At a bar grease well and special drinks will be served with a smile and WOW "you only had 1 drink".
Remember not to grease where grease doesn't count(in that case tip). For example, you tip a taxi driver (except in rare circumstances) and you grease your cable tv woman/man (suddenly you have all the channels in every room).
Proper folding of the bill in a true grease transaction is fold in half- fold in half- fold in half. Put the bill in the palm of your hand with your thumb over the denomination. Practice sliding your thumb as to show the denomination. Practice flashing the bill to a friend without anyone else seeing. In a grease situation you don't want everyone else to see you are greasing. Finally practice shaking someone's hand and passing the bill so no one can tell what's going on.
Remember it's your charming personality and their overwhelming compassion which enables your privileged life.

Balboa 101 & call for dancers

We (the bal addicts) need more balboa dancers (that's you), (especially in mighty Greensboros, North Carolina) so I decided it was about time I try to turn my bloggin' friends onto balboa. So here is some information about what balboa is (since some of you have asked- what is balboa?):
Jean's attempt at a description: balboa is a partner 8 count dance which originated in Southern California. Smooth but pulsed & not choreographed it combines centered connection, momentum, centrifugal force, compressions/extensions and musicality. Most of the time balboa is danced at 200-300 beats per minute (you can do it slower if you want).

Important Note if you are learning balboa (sorry I couldn't help it ;) ) : It's a lead follow dance which should not have any choreography in it. The lead should be able to lead the follow into doing whatever they want whenever they want so make a point to learn lead follow mechanics (ask your teacher). This way the leads are be able to use variations whenever they want and follows are able to follow those variations when they are led.

last night's dream

Last night I had a re-occuring dream all night where I was trying to balance this one chemical equation. I kept waking up from the dream and trying to go back into a different one but it wouldn't let me out....sadly, just as I thought I had the anwser I woke up.
