Invention #5 - Updated

Invention #5 - New Names for Buttons

PLEASE SOMEONE(but not me), I think we need to update some button names to improve our overall web experience, and for other software programs too. What I am proposing is replacing all buttons that say the following:

End Now
Cancel
Stop
Submit

With the following text:

Stop the Madness

I know I would have a better time clicking around. (AND hey maybe we should be able to make the buttons customizable to say whatever we want!!!)

ALSO, for THESE buttons:
Go
Search
Next
Purchase
Review
and pretty much all the rest of them

we should change them to read:

Go ahead, I'm bored

free fluid and surgery tomorrow

yesturday i went to urgent care because I had been up all night in pain in my abdomen. The urgent care took an xray and then sent me over to the ER. The urgent care diagnosed the problem totally wrong but I won't go into it... Anyway, after an abdominal ultrasound and cat scan...and about 10 hours latter the ER determined it was free fluid in my abdomen. Since that can be a sign of cancer (which I doubt it is) they admitted me for treatment and to figure out why it was there. This morning they drained the fluid and I was able to go home. The reason the fluid was there remains a mistery. They are suppose to get the fluids pathology results back in a few days. In the meantime they said it would be ok to go ahead with my neck surgery tomorrow. They are having me follow up with my primary care physician...which let's be real it's not going to get figured out without an exploratory and forget that!

I have a few hours left to enjoy tonight before the hell of tomorrow. It's really going to suck waking up after surgery tomorrow but it won't be as bad as last time. I met a nurse at the hospital last night that had the same exact decompression surgery as I did and she also had neck surgery...she just did it in reverse order than I am doing it. She said she is better now. That's great to hear.

life @ 1930's cabin and surgery monday

last night we arrived in ashville. for our first night we stayed at the Renaisance Hotel. It was very similar to one of the places we stayed in Fiji so I really liked our room. Before dinner we walked around and went to a few shops. Dean bought me a really nice bellydance hip scarf...it's the best one I have ever seen. I may have to go back and get some for my friends from DC. We went to a fancy resturant last night and had a great dinner..unfortunately neither of us remember what it was called. We rented the new Zodiac movie and it was really good. I had seen the first movie and so I was super interested. This movie had a lot more information then the first. I slept really well until someone called me at 8 AM..i think it was someone who was suppose to be at our house on Monday to do work....so not only was he late he woke me on vacation....oh well

... I can't believe how many times my phone rang today. One of the calls was my doctor who is going to do my neck sugery on MONDAY, the 14th of May. It will be at Wake Forest University. I am having some anxiety about this surgery...more so then the last one. It sounds really uncomfotable. They use a hook to pull your esophagus and trachea etc (they go in from the front)....and apparently you have a major problem swallowing afterwards...sometimes you have to get a tube down your nose to eat for a couple weeks...so since I am a real baby about sore throats I am dreading the surgery. Another things that sucks is we are having such a good vaction right now we were thinking of just staying on vacation for a while and going to Tennesse and New Orleans but now I have to go to Wake Forest on Friday for an appointment at 8:45 AM...only one day after I swore never to agree to a morning commitment that early again. I had to though because the only other choice was to delay the sugery a few weeks and I rather get it over with. So now we have to come back home Thursday.

Today we moved to a cabin I found online. It's called the Log Cabin Motor Court. It's so cool and our cabin name is Sleepy Susan. We have one room with a fireplace and a gas stove right beside it. It has a small full kitchen and a bathroom. A nice touch is wireless so I can chk email and the stockmarket, which by the way...AGN is up to 123.64...a new high for me. This cabin is circa 1930. It has a front porch and some rocking chairs and a table. We are going to stay her until we have to leave. Last night we paid twice the money but this is much cooler. We already want to come back to stay her in the snow even know we have two mountain homes to stay at for free...it's just so cute!! I wish we could stay here until Sunday.

Today we went to teh Biltmore Estate and we did an audio tour(very well done) of the house. It was really amazing. Dean's favorite room was the billards room. My favorite was the Library. It would be so cool if we could actually look at some of othe books. They looked really rare. In my opinion it is the nicest house in the World. It beats Versailles. After going through the house we walked all the gardens and walked to the bass pond. There were some huge fist in there and some baby ducks! We ate a nice lunch at the cafe located next to the house. The food was excellent. We also had a giant icecream cone with homemade icecream.,,,yum!

Tomorrow we are going to go on a five hour trail ride and then we are going to go to the Hot Springs Spa to soak and have a massage. Dean wants to go to some rock museum but I hope to wear him out on the trail ride ;) . He has an obssesion with rocks. Well I am going to go to the Fresh Market to pick up some food. I want to make Dean a nice dinner since we have paid for a kitchen...and get some marhmellows/chocolates for the fire.

misery loves company

wow, it's so weird i was looking to see what my neck scar for the neck surgery would look like and I noticed this girls scar she posted online and I knew by looking at the SCAR she had chairi malformation. Anyway, I got to reading her blog...and she sounds like she is having endless pain like me....It feels better to know someone is struggling like me...when I read she couldn't work anymore for a while-AHHHHH- sucks!!!...and reading all her doctors appointments sounded all too familiar...it's just endless bs.
I just read in one of her recent blogs that she read certain foods can increase pain.....I just want to scream...of course it had refiend sugar on it...I WON"T DO IT! you can take away my life as I know it but not my sugar!

Here is her blog: post her some encouragement:

asheville, nc he we come

Spiderman III was not my thing. Had to leave after 50 minutes. I can't believe I agreeed to go but Dean was pretty persistant in asking me to go w/him. Tomorrow we are heading to Asheville to sightsee and hangout- we are going to try to find a cave guide(yay a reason to use a headlamp_HL are fun) to hire for a few days and I want to go horseback riding before I can't cuz of neck surgery. I found us a really cool cabin to stay but we may move around a bit once we are there cuz their are so many cool places to stay. I decided we need a break. I wish I didn't have two appointments here tomorrow so we coulda left already. Greensboring really had me down this weekend. I have never seen so many movies. Saw Disturbia yesturday-better than spiderman...but meet the robinsons still wins.

Oh...this whole neck traction thing is totally ridiculous...reminds me of a chiropractor...totally ????/iffy! You know what a mean...how when you leave the chiro and you feel like he/she made things worse cuz it's a croc. I am calling the surgeon domani...I want that surgery ASAP so I can get on with things. Hopefully I can get this lil vacation in first.

better than breathing molten cakes or choc liquid center cake

seriously, these cakes are better than breathing(and breathing is good). i said i would marry the guy that could make these for me and what I meant is I would eat these cakes if somone made them for me. haha. If you want to impress your girlfriend or guyfriend or wife or husband on a special occasion these are PERFECT thing to make.

Anyway, here's the not so secret recipe
Butter and sugar for ramekins
1/2 lb. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped (use a high qualilty chocolate)
1/2 lb. unsalted butter
6 whole eggs
1 1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. flour

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Butter t 15 4-ounce ramekins and sprinkle with sugar, tapping to remove excess sugar. Set aside. In the top of a double boiler or heavy bowl set over (but not touching) simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter. Whisk until thoroughly melted and combined. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk together eggs, sugar and flour until just blended. Gradually whisk the chocolate mix into the egg mix until combined. Evenly divide the mixture between the prepared ramekins, using about 1/3 cup for each ramekin. Place ramekins on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until tops are firm and beginning to crack and the edges are set. Remove from oven and serve immediately with your favorite ice cream. (or add some whipped cream and strawberries). Makes 15 cakes.
note: The exterior of these should be cake-like while the center should remain soft and runny and warm.
Now eat as many as you can :) and give your husband one.

Meet the Robinsons! - movie of the YEAR so far....

you all have to go see the movie meet the robinsons. It was so great. It had a great message too. Apparently, at some theaters it's in 3 D!!! I am actually considering seeing it again in 3 D.

Please go see it and tell me what you think.
