Important: Rate your Professors on this website!

Please make sure you rate your professors on this site:
http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/index.jsp

Do yourself a favor and never sign up for a class without checking to make sure the professor sounds reasonable. It's not good to let the bad ones get away with any nonsense. Also, please be sure you give a good review to the professors who deserve it. They make it a game and so let's play the game.

my most fun friend and longest friend in the whole wide world started a blog. you all have to check it out and keep up: it's called hair of the dogs http://www.hairofthedogs.blogspot.com/ (any of you all who spend/spent time cleaning up the hair from your dogs can appreciate the name like I do). there you will find a great hangover recipe, random thoughts, ramones, and lots more great stuff to come. "What's so wrong, hair of the dog There's nothing wrong, hair of the dog " she's got the full lyrics on her site ( yeah, that's the Ramones).

car & dance & jellybeans

it's so weird because I could have sworn my car was more smashed up on Thursday but looking at it this weekend and it's really not bad at all....I don't know but it looked so bad to me the other day- hence my grossly exaggerated post the other day. it was such a great weekend with Mike, Freda, Diane, Akiko and all the raleigh, ashville, charlottesville people coming out! so tired and chemistry exam tommorow. just for the record, i am seriously giving up jellybeans tommorow. Hope everyone is having/had a nice Easter.

Car Incident of the Day or Ticket of the Month

I smashed up two new cars today- my own and this guy's. I was trying to see the name of some store on the left (looking for my new smartwater store) and then oh know I am going to hit the guy in front of me and we're all going to die. His car is pretty smashed up in the back and mine- well let's not talk about it. Hit me head on the steering wheel and expect to get random whip lash pains this weekend- some strange pains already happening in shoulders. I expect the whip lash will be kicking in to my victim soon as well(and he probably won't be lieing). I felt bad about smashing up his new car but also thankful I didn't kill anyone. This guy ended up being a strange and kinda uncool to me as I immediately took responsibility and called my insurance agent on the spot and had him talk to my agent- of course admitting my guilt and telling him not to worry, I would take care everything. Then all of a sudden he starts saying how he can't speak English and he was waiting for his friend translator to come(being familiar with this game and I immediatey got suspicous) and of course who shows up but the police to write me a ticket. It's for $10 but the court costs are $100. He could have just said I want a police report made and so I am calling the police...but to be all sneaky about it is uncool.

No matter what I am not going back to driving school again even if it means leaving the country and from now on I am always using navigation when finding a new location.

eyeroll of the day- St. Petersburg Florida

I would like to send an eyeroll out to St Petersburg Florida(see below). I don't know who's crazier- the school, the police or the Mom. I totally understand where the kid is coming from- you don't mess with my jellybeans! :
Handcuff, Arrest 5-Year-Old Girl'I Don't Want to Go to Jail,' Says Young Student ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 18) - A 5-year-old girl was arrested, cuffed and put in back of a police cruiser after an outburst at school where she threw books and boxes, kicked a teacher in the shins, smashed a candy dish, hit an assistant principal in the stomach and drew on the walls.
The students were counting jelly beans as part of a math exercise at Fairmount Park Elementary School when the little girl began acting silly. That's when her teacher took away her jelly beans, outraging the child.
"I don't want to go to jail," she said moments after her arrest Monday.
"We never want to have 5-year-old children arrested," said Michael Bessette, the district's Area III superintendent."She's been appropriately disciplined under the circumstances," he said. The girl's mother, Inda Akins, said she is consulting an attorney."She's never going back to that school," Akins said. "They set my baby up."

"medicated" Wrigley's EXTRA Wildberry Frost Gum-

Today I bought some Wrigley's EXTRA wildberry Frost Gum. It tastes EXACTLY like Robitussin! :( :( ! (sorry greensboros, no alcohol in wrigley's). I heard recently here in mighty santos greensboros, people are being arrested for DWI off of Robitussin! open bottles found in the car. Wow, those people are seriously determined to get a drinky! You should be able to plead insanity for that crime.

lindy + groove = lindygroove

lindygroove in LA this past thursday was SO GREAT. great music, great dancers, great floor, great vibe, extremly nice people and dreamy leads(and follows). only thing which could have made it totally totally perfect for me is if they just played just a few fast songs for balboa reasons (nick and many other great balboa dancers being there, my addiction, etc). guess I can't help but try and get my bal on when in the presense of so many great bal dancers and being in the state of balboa invention. When I asked why no fast music? the djs reminded me that night is called lindy"GROOVE" .(slow and groovey :) ). ok, that makes sense...

anyway, I highly reccomend you all hit lindygroove when you go out to LA, I am very sad I can't go every week! www.lindygroove.com

blue skys...LA tommorow, LW&T

finally leaving for LA tommorow via Deltasucks. I have prepared provisions for the hungry cold flight out west. I have extra clothes, long underwear, pillow, blanket, gobstoppers, poprocks, gum, bananas, water, cashews, jelly beans, two peanut butter and jellies, yathzee, chemistry stuff, mp4/3 player, poprocks, camera, palm, flashcards, and hershey kisses(that way if I die, you know I died somewhat happy). If for some reason I do not return please! big weekend funeral party somewhere lovely with a stocked bar, live band and dancing. Also, make sure all my crap goes to my best friends (you know who you are). (Body if intact goes to science.)

Here is Mighty "jj" Flynn of Mighty Greensboros, our new mascot. He aspires to be the first dog to orbit the sun.

can you all see the airplane that is sticking up from the ground in the background of this photo?- I don't know how you crash upwards? but they seemed to have figured it out. That is all my luggage on the blue cart. Behind me is air traffic control (hmm...no tower) and my plane. I was wondering why I was the only one. Maybe having the crashed plane doesn't help bring in business.

sweeeet! Royal Society of Chemistry TrueType font

I am so happy now that I have a chemistry true type font for my microsoft word. Royal Society of Chemistry TrueType font (that's the real name- I know you think I added "Royal" but I didn't):
http://www.chemsoc.org/networks/learnnet/RSCfont.htm

having this font is key so you can have subscripts and charges on your ions(everyone likes charges on their ions!), etc...So anyway, I began making the index card from hell today. In my royal chemistry class at the Royal University of North Carolinas at Santos Greensboros, we are allowed one 5 x 7 index card with whatever we want to put on it. I decided the human hand cannot write small enough so now I am using word to type out my card (plus it takes to long to rewrite it everytime I upgrade it :)). So far 5 pt seems to be nice size. I hope to cram all the main ideas of the book on this card, so I may have to go to a smaller font at some point. So far I have only used up 3/4 of one side(through chap 4.) and I have my nomenclature chart (oh, I improved on the "nomenclature chart" and expanded it. I have to figure out how to publish it in html) , solubility rules, strong/weak acids and bases, random formulas, random periodic table info, valences, conversion factors. If you would like to buy a copy of the card I can sell you one for $500. Just kidding. If you want my chart I can throw it out on some web page if someone needs it or I can email it to you. LMK.Well, as you can see, another exciting day in mighty Greensboros.

THANK YOU Savion Glover!

all inspired because I saw Savion Glover (he is a rhythm/ percussion tap dancer) at Duke University this past Tuesday. He was total magic. He is so brillant and so are all the other musicians who played with him. He is a great example of how you can make anything happen if you put your mind to it and work at it. It was his "Classical" show, and he danced/played his feet with a full orchestra. On march 20 I think he is tapping in Charlotte in his show is called "Improvography". Treat your eyes & ears and go to see him.
