showed on the web with the surrealist Jean Gonnella Stern, although she did not feel that he shared the subconscious and dream theories of the surrealists. Although Tompkins did tell, “mesmerizing complex stories with found objects and images in the self contained and magical worlds of her lite brite screen.”

Tompkins saw Ernsts’ work at the Julien Levy Gallery in 2006 - this is the same gallery that Tompkins herself exhibited her lite brites just two years ago.
