who DIES a daily death in their "CUBE"?

I would like to start out by saying if you have time to read this blog and you haven't seen the best movie of all time, Office Space, then you need to see it asap!

This one goes out to everybody who DIES a daily death in their "CUBE",(you all know who your are). You can't wait to get out at lunch, head over to some assembly-line-food franchise like "Baja" for some fajitas, and try to make it back in time to get back on IM.

Thank you Alex Fajkowski for showing me this superb movie as we circled the skys from Boston- best airplane ride ever.

I am grateful to report I escaped my CUBE July 31, 2004.

Death comes in windowless offices too, with thermostats on crack and vents drying your hair a second and third and forth time. . . God forbid you're in a small city without the assembly line franchises - at least those folks have options.

btw, if you are in a windowless office or cube be sure to take some vitamin D everyday so you can absorb your calcium. Phyto nectar on the hair once a week.
For short-term survival in the cube: one plant, satellite radio, IM, a candy bowl, tootsie roll lollipops... btw if you are Marco Metzler you also have your refrigerator, a microwave, toaster over, drawers with food, blender and your matchbox car collection. Some speculated that Marco actually lived in his cube.

In hindsight a dartboard and goldfish would have been nice.

the cubes were lego-like pieces. The creative kids like Marco were able to make modifications. You see as people left the company Marco "borrowed" their good pieces for modifications...they were still warm and marco was in there taking there shelves. shouldn't you have waited 3 days?

not being very good with tools, I just greased the right person and got them to add another cube and 1/2 to mine= hence the mega-cube/dance studio :P

Are you kidding me? Vitamin D? That's what nice long lunches are for, OUTside, in the SUN. As for creative cubicles - I'm redoing my walls slowly with newsclips and colorful highliter marks in coordinated pink and blue. Very nice touch.

sounds very nice- for fun you could try to work some classified ads in to see what the boss does OR maybe keep an America's Most Wanted Wall. :) and then start finding resemblances between coworkers and the photos and point them out to people...

oh that's right...you are in Savannah where you have sun! In DC it was raining everyday when I was there.

hey! that's a pretty good idea about the mug shots thing. i might just do that - there's certainly not a lack of bad guy photos around here working with the police. we already have nick nolte and james brown on the wall of fame
